Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
After a warm welcome at the international airport in Delhi, you will be escorted by a Castle and King representative to your hotel. Relax for the remaining part of the day and get ready for a memorable North India Vacations tour with Castle and King.
Day 02: Delhi
On day 2 of the North India Vacations, you will be taken on a guided tour of Delhi by our Castle and King representative. Apart from being the capital city of India, Delhi also boasts of a rich history that fascinates many. Visit the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, and so on. You will also be able to see the grand Rashtrapati Bhawan (President's mansion) and the Parliament during your Delhi tour. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast, you will drive to the "pink city" of Jaipur that is also the capital of Rajasthan, India. On arrival at Jaipur, our Castle and King representative will help you check into your hotel. Relax awhile before setting out to explore the city and indulge in an interesting shopping experience. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur
On day 4 of your North India Vacations tour, enjoy a trip to the grand Amber Fort that is located on a steep hill. Indulge in a thrilling elephant ride to the entrance of the fort that houses a number of exquisite palaces, gardens and interesting artifacts. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Jaipur city from the ramparts of the Amber Fort before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra
Drive to Agra after breakfast as part of the North India Vacations tour with Castle and King. You will also stop to visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri with its red sandstone monuments enroute. This wonderful city was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar but was abandoned due to an acute scarcity of water. Check into a hotel on arrival at Agra. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 06: Agra
Set out on a tour to the ethereal Taj Mahal, the most beautiful tribute to everlasting love. It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal is something you must visit at least once in your life. Return to your hotel after this memorable rendezvous for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Agra - Khajuraho
As part of your North India Vacations package, board a flight to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. A Castle and King representative will help you check in at your hotel. After resting awhile, set out to explore Khajuraho that is famous for its temples that are based on the themes of passion and sensuality. Stay overnight at the hotel in Khajuraho.
Day 08: Khajuraho
You will be taken on a guided tour of the famous temples of Khajuraho. Built by the Chandela rulers of central India between 950 and 1050 A.D, these temples have been classified as the Western, Eastern and Southern group of temples. Known for their sculptural beauty and erotic themes, these temples attract many visitors across the world. Return for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Khajuraho - Varanasi
On day 9 of the North India Vacations tour, you will board a morning flight to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. One of the oldest living cities of the world, Varanasi is an important seat of spirituality in India. On arrival, check into a hotel and spend the remaining part of the day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Varanasi.
Day 10: Varanasi
Drive to the famous Daswamedh Ghat that is located on the banks of the sacred Ganges. You will also be able to enjoy a boat ride on the river as thousands of devotees flock the banks to offer their morning prayers. Visit some of the beautiful temples scattered around Varanasi besides witnessing an "Aarti" ceremony at one of the ghats of Varanasi. Return for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Varanasi - Delhi
Your North India Vacations tour takes you to Sarnath, one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. In fact, it is the very site where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Explore the wonderful environs of Sarnath before returning to your hotel. You will later travel to Delhi. Check into a hotel on arrival for an overnight stay.
Day 12: Delhi
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before setting out to explore the city and indulge in some shopping. Enjoy a Dances of India performance in the evening before attending a farewell dinner at an Indian restaurant. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Delhi - Home
Drive to the airport to board you return flight thus signaling the end of your North India Vacations tour with Castle and King.
